Hunter Valley wedding photographer Perks

Being a wedding photographer based between Newcastle and the Hunter Valley has many perks. The Hunter Valley is one of Australia’s dare I say most beautiful regions for weddings and elopements, from golden rolling hills, sweeping vines to lush heritage venues. I am lucky to call this home.

Often when photographing a wedding, at a wedding venue I’ve already photographed before, I find secret pockets of light that the time before I did not know existed. Each time the images becoming something new, poetic and entirely artful.

I am lucky to photograph weddings and elopements at beautiful historic locations such as Wallalong House. I actually grew up not far from this wedding venue, in a small town called Dungog. My mother would drive me through to Paterson, Maitland and Newcastle; on the way I would see weddings unfolding at Tocal Homestead, Mindarriba House, Wallalong House, parties unfolding on private property, and photographers walking the street of Newcastle with cools couples.

I feel in love with weddings, with the venues, the people, the golden hills, and the city. What I know now, is that I am lucky to be a wedding photographer and to have grown up in a beautiful region of Australia surrounded by love unfolding.
