Georgia Burns is an Australian photographer based in Newcastle NSW, Australia. Combining a fine art photography & journalism background with a skilled and sensitive eye for portraiture, her images garnered acclaim for their honesty, vulnerability, and unfeigned connection to its subjects.
She photographs celebrations across the world, from Europe to America, Oceania, the UK and beyond, always bringing a unique editorial and artistic sensibility to the wedding world.
With over 9 years of professional experience, Georgia's photographic journey has assumed a rich and varied path.
I seek out documenting the unique ways couples celebrate love and my goal is to always capture the day purely, joyfully and honestly.
I’m thankful that my work allows me to pursue my passion for photography and let’s me travel to unique places to connect, witness and document the many different ways people come together to celebrate.
I think of my images as the building blocks of an unfolding story. They’re little moments that capture the honesty and pure emotion of a wedding day, focusing on subtlety of quiet interactions, glances, laughter and joy.
Overall, I view each wedding as a collaboration with my couples. I don’t see myself as a distant observer or documentarian, focusing only on what’s in front of me. My intention is also to capture what it felt like to be there. I feel that is what gives my photographs the poetic editorial simplicity they’re known for.
It’s a privilege to create images that families will keep forever and above all else, I want them to look at their photographs and remember, even decades down the line, the joy and love they felt on that day. I want to create photographs that matter.
Georgia Burns is currently based in Newcastle NSW, Australia.
All pricing is GST inclusive and does not include travel costs (if required) for flights, accomodation and car rental.
A 40% retainer along with a signed contract is required to secure a booking.

Being both a digital and analogue photographer, Georgia Burns normally shoot a roll or two of 35mm film wether or not the analogue film packages are added on, although this is not a guarantee.
A custom quote will be presented to you based on your exact coverage needs but please reference as a guide.

The completed collection of photographs will be supplied to you in print ready high resolution format via a secure online gallery.
The photographs will include a mix of digital & film photography and the collection of photographs are individually edited by Georgia Burns.
Videography & Super 8 Films
two minute highlight film (no audio or music) (landscape orientation)
Georgia Burns is available for bespoke highlight videos filmed on digital and super 8 film; these moments are captured between photographing the bigger moments (no first kiss, walking down the aisle etc will be included, if you have chosen to not have a videographer on the day; we recommended adding a Moment to selected photography package.
