Elope In Italy
Eloping in Italy is a dream for lovers in love.
It’s perfect for couples who to be frank don’t want the stress that a typical wedding can bring, maybe you don’t have a large family, maybe you don’t want family there, there are so many reason why many of my clients choose to elope.
My favourite being, that they want it to just be them, on their own, relishing in a love bubble, with beautiful Italian cousin, local Italian wine, a glorious view, and me (capturing their day how they wish it to be told).
There are breathtaking destinations and landscapes throughout Italy that are simply ideal for an Elopement or small wedding, from Lake Como, Lake Garda, Lake Maggiore, smaller Lake Orta, Lake Trasimeno close to Tuscany, or Lake Bracciano close to Rome, there are endless options.
Many of my Australian, Uk and American clients have opted for an Italian countryside wedding, think rolling hills and glorious sunsets throughout Piemonte vine hills of Barolo, or Barbaresco, or famous Tuscany and Umbria.
And I simply cannot take away from the enchanting baroque Sicily if you would prefer coastal.
But if a destination wedding or elopement overseas is simply not on the table, maybe grandma isn’t able to fly due to her health, or you have a young family and it would be easier to curate a wedding within Australian, then fortunately Italy can come to you.
For the small wedding and elopements I give you Talits Estate, Talits Estate is a family-owned vineyard, cellar door and luxury holiday home in the Broke Fordwich winemaking region of the Hunter Valley, Australia. They accommodate as a wedding venue for small weddings and elopements, as well as on-site boutique accommodation. From the likes of the Dissh Campaign featured in VOGUE Australia, our besties in the wedding makeup and hair world Georgia Belle Artistry got to spend the whole time on site during the creation of the VOGUE bridal campaign; luckily for us, they told us all about it.
For weddings of larger size, and room to wander and wiggle, look no other way than Redleaf Wollombi, you may have seen this Tuscany inspired wedding venue pop up on your instagram feed, and though it was a European wedding location. Well beautiful people, this Hunter Valley wedding venue is unlike any other in its calibre. I feel lucky to have floated through these grounds many times. Redleaf in Wollombi has no bad angles.
